Model's Photo Shoot Preparation

Preparation

  • You should be freshly shaved or waxed as needed for the shoot. It is recommended to complete this a few days before the shoot to avoid irritation and redness.
  • Tweeze eyebrows, but don’t over-do it.
  • Be sure to get a plenty of sleep the night before the shoot.
  • Stay hydrated and avoid bloating or unhealthy foods.
  • Avoid alcohol or drugs before the day before or day of the photo shoot.
  • Avoid scents such as lotion and perfume.
  • Deodorant should be clear and not sticky.
  • Arrive with bare face (wash and apply your usual moisturizer).

Attire

  • Wear loose-fitting clothing the day of the shoot. Nothing should be snug or restricting. You want to avoid any creasing or indentations in your skin caused by clothing.
  • We recommend bringing a light robe to wear during makeup and hair prep as well as in-between wardrobe changes.
  • Please bring undergarments that will not show through the clothes or create lines in the clothes in photos. Refer to photos or links to photos of the clothes we will be shooting. Colors: skin-tone, black, and white.

Shoes

  • If you will be shooting full length garments, please bring 3-5 pairs of simple and classic shoes/heels that you are sure to be able to stand and maneuver in. Heels should be at least 3in. tall. Ideally, bring black, nude, white, red heels if you have them. Heels/shoes should be in great shape without scuff marks and signs of wear or damage. Shoes should be on trend (current season), classic, or designer (current year). Two strap heeled sandals or classic pumps are suggested. Avoid platforms.
  • Please refer to photos or links to photos of the clothes that we will be shooting to determine shoes that will go best and that the heels are not so flashy that they will take attention away from the outfits
  • Please look over some of your favorite online shopping sites to get ideas for which shoes to bring.

Makeup

  • There will be a makeup artist and hair stylist attending the shoot.

Hair/Nails

  • Your hair should be clean and dry.
  • Bring any needed personal supplies (spray, gel, etc. that you prefer) so that your hair style can be changed as needed during the shoot. We have the rest of the items needed.
  • Nails should be short to medium length in neutral colors (clear, light sheer pink, etc.). Don’t forget to do your toes if you will be shooting full length garments!

Jewelry/Accessories

  • We have jewelry and clutches to go with the outfits. No need to bring any of these items unless requested.
